Appliance Installation Sydney
Washing machines, fridges, dryers and dishwashers disconnected at the old place, moved, reconnected and tested at the new one. Where a job needs a licensed plumber, electrician or gas fitter, we tell you before the day rather than guessing on it.
Always included
What’s included in an appliance install
Disconnected properly at one end and working at the other, with one crew across both.
- Disconnection at the old place — hoses off, taps shut, power isolated
- Transit bolts refitted on washing machines before they move
- Transport with the appliance upright and properly secured
- Reconnection to existing outlets — taps, waste and power points
- New inlet hoses supplied where the old ones are perished
- Levelling on adjustable feet, so nothing walks across the laundry
- Fridge doors reversed where the new kitchen needs it
- Anti-tip brackets fitted on freestanding ovens and tall units
- A run test before we leave — fill, drain and a check for leaks
- All packaging removed on new appliances

Where the line sits
What we can connect, and what needs a licensed trade
In NSW, connecting an appliance to the water supply is plumbing work and hardwiring one is electrical work. Both need a licensed tradesperson by law — not because it’s difficult, but because the consequences of getting it wrong are a flooded floor or a live chassis.
Plenty of appliance work isn’t either of those things. Reconnecting a washing machine to the taps it was designed to plug into is a different job from installing a new water outlet. Here’s exactly where we stop.
We handle
- Washing machines onto existing laundry taps
- Fridges and freezers, positioned and levelled
- Vented and condenser dryers into a power point
- Dryer wall brackets fitted and mounted
- Dishwashers back onto an existing connection point
- Microwaves, kettles and benchtop appliances
- Plug-in appliances into existing power points
- Disconnecting anything safely before a move
- Refitting transit bolts and draining hoses
- Levelling, door reversal and anti-tip brackets
If there’s already a tap, a waste point and a power point where the appliance goes, it’s almost always a job we can do.
Needs a licensed trade
- New water outlets or waste points
- Hardwired appliances — ovens, cooktops, some range hoods
- Anything gas, without exception
- New or altered electrical circuits and power points
- Ducted range hood installation through a wall or roof
- Plumbed fridge water and ice-maker lines
- Built-in and integrated appliance fit-outs
- Cutting or modifying benchtops and cabinetry
We’ll tell you which trade you need and what to ask for. Doing this work unlicensed voids your appliance warranty and your home insurance, which is a far bigger problem than the call-out fee.
What we handle
Appliances we disconnect, move and reconnect
The heavy, awkward, water-connected things that everyone leaves until last on moving day.
Washing machines
Transit bolts refitted, hoses drained, reconnected to existing taps and run-tested.
Fridges & freezers
Moved upright, positioned in the cavity, levelled, doors reversed if needed.
Dryers
Plug-in vented and condenser dryers, including wall brackets and mounting.
Dishwashers
Reconnected where a connection point already exists. New installs need a plumber.
Freestanding ovens
Moved and positioned with anti-tip brackets. Connection is a licensed job.
Microwaves
Benchtop and over-range units, plugged in and set up.
Range hoods
Plug-in units removed and refitted. Hardwired or ducted needs an electrician.
Office appliances
Fridges, coffee machines and dishwashers in a commercial move.
Pricing
How appliance installation is priced
Appliance work booked with a move is usually part of the moving quote. Booked on its own it’s priced per appliance, with several in one visit costing far less per item than a single call-out.

Whether connections exist
An existing tap and waste point is a reconnect. Nothing there is a plumber’s job.
Access
Stairs, tight laundries and appliances built into cabinetry take longer.
Condition of fittings
Perished hoses and seized taps get replaced rather than reused.
Removal of the old unit
Taking the old appliance away is a separate line, not a surprise one.
Booked with a move
Bundled into a moving job, it’s the cheapest way to have it done.
The cheap version of this job is the expensive one
A washing machine hose that isn’t seated properly doesn’t leak on day one. It weeps behind the machine for a fortnight, and the first anyone knows is a swollen kickboard or a bill from the neighbour downstairs.
That’s the whole reason we run a fill, drain and leak check before leaving. It adds ten minutes to the job and it’s the difference between an appliance that’s connected and one that’s connected properly.
How it works
How an appliance install runs
-
Tell us what’s moving
Which appliances, and whether anything is gas or hardwired. Written quote back within two hours.
-
Disconnected properly
Taps off, hoses drained, power isolated and transit bolts fitted before anything leaves the laundry.
-
Moved upright
Strapped, padded and kept upright on the truck, with the floors protected at both ends.
-
Reconnected and tested
Plumbed back in, levelled, run briefly and checked for leaks before we leave.

Coverage
Appliance installation anywhere in Sydney
We cover every suburb in the Sydney metro from our Parramatta base, and most appliance work is booked alongside a move rather than on its own. Apartments are the jobs that need the most notice — a French-door fridge has to fit the service lift as well as the kitchen, and buildings that require a lift booking or a certificate of currency want that arranged before the day rather than at the security desk.
