How much do removalists in Melbourne cost?

Do I need a parking permit for the truck?
In the inner city, usually. The City of Melbourne runs a reserved parking permit, and a truck normally needs more than one bay. Inner councils each run their own scheme, with their own fees and lead times. Yarra is not the same as Port Phillip. It is not an instant approval either, so this is not a morning-of job. Tell us the street when you book and we handle it.
Can you move into a high-rise apartment?
Yes, and this is most of our CBD, Southbank and Docklands work. Towers run on a booked service lift and a booked loading dock, with a set window. Miss the window and you do not lose an hour, you lose the slot. Most buildings also want our certificate of currency before the crew come past the lobby. We deal with building management directly.
Are my belongings insured?
Every job carries $1M public liability and goods in transit cover. The two do different things. One covers the building, the other covers what we are carrying. Cartons you packed yourself sit under different terms to cartons our packers filled. That is standard across the industry. Melbourne towers often want the certificate before they release the dock. We send it to building management direct.
Do you move interstate from Melbourne?
Yes. Any two cities, in either direction. Melbourne to Brisbane and Melbourne to Perth both run direct, with no Sydney leg in between. One crew loads and the same crew unloads.
