Questions we get asked about moving in Sydney

How much do removalists in Sydney cost?
Local moves run hourly, with a two hour minimum. Interstate is priced on how much you have and where it goes. What moves the number most is access, not distance. A house with a driveway and a third floor walk-up are different jobs. Even on the same street. Send both addresses and the size of the place. You get it in writing within two hours.
Which Sydney suburbs do you cover?
All of them, metro wide. We also run regional NSW, out to Newcastle, Wollongong and the Blue Mountains. The list above is a sample, not a full index. If your suburb is not on it, ask anyway.
Can you move me today?
Often, yes. Same day moving is one of our services. Not a favour we squeeze in. Ring before midday. You will know within minutes whether a crew and a truck are free. If the answer is no, you hear it straight away. Not after a day of waiting.
Do I need a parking permit for the truck?
Sometimes. Sydney councils handle removal trucks differently. A few inner suburbs want a permit or a reserved space booked first. Tell us the street when you book. We will check what yours needs. A truck circling the block is time you pay for.
Are my belongings insured?
We carry $1M public liability and goods in transit cover on every job. Public liability covers damage to the building. Transit cover is the one that covers your things. Boxes you packed yourself are treated differently from boxes we packed. That last point applies to every removalist, not just us. Ask us for the certificate of currency any time.
Do you move interstate from Sydney?
Yes, and not only from Sydney. We run between any two cities. Sydney to Perth and Melbourne to Brisbane are both direct. No detour through a depot that has nothing to do with your move.
Do you supply boxes and packing materials?
Yes, dropped off before packing day. Boxes, butchers paper, bubble wrap, tape, labels, port-a-robes and covers. Anything you do not open comes off the invoice. We collect the flattened empties once you have unpacked.
