Rubbish Removal in Melbourne
Rubbish removal in Melbourne, loaded from wherever it sits. We sort it, recycle what we can and tip the rest at a licensed facility. The levy is in the quote, so the number you hear is the number you pay.
What's included in every rubbish removal
Send a photo of the pile. That is usually enough for a price.
- We do the lifting from wherever it is sitting
- Inside, upstairs or out the back not just the kerb
- Sorted on the truck for recycling and reuse
- E-waste separated because Victoria bans it from landfill
- Licensed disposal with a receipt if you want one
- State landfill levy built into the quote
- The area swept before we drive off
- Priced by volume not by a vague hourly rate
- Same day where a truck is free
- Public liability cover on every job

Why the cheapest quote is the expensive one
Disposal in Victoria costs real money. A quote well under everyone else has left something out, and it is almost always the tip.
-
The levy is the cost
Victoria charges a state landfill levy on every tonne that goes to metropolitan landfill. It jumped more than 30 per cent in July 2025, to around $170 a tonne. That is before the tip's own gate fee. An operator quoting well below the market has skipped the weighbridge, or is going somewhere they should not.
-
E-waste cannot go to landfill
Victoria banned it in 2019. E-waste means anything with a plug, a battery or a power cord. Televisions, computers, printers, power tools, kettles, old phones. It comes off the truck separately and goes to a licensed recycler.
-
EPA Victoria prosecutes this
Illegal dumping is not a parking ticket. EPA Victoria fined one skip bin company $10,176 for unlawfully depositing more than 1,000 litres of waste. They were also made to clean it up and dispose of it properly. The operator wore all of it.
-
What sorting actually means
Metal, timber, cardboard, e-waste and anything still usable come off before the rest goes to landfill. Less tonnage over the weighbridge means a smaller levy bill. That is the only honest way a price comes down.

Check your council hard waste first
Every Melbourne council runs hard waste differently. Some give you booked collections each year and some do not. Most have a long list of what they will not take.
If your pile fits their rules and you can wait, use it. Ring us when it does not fit, will not be taken, or you need it gone this week.
What affects your quote
-
Volume
The only thing that really sets the base price.
-
Weight
Soil, tiles and timber hit the levy harder than furniture.
-
Access
Third floor with no lift takes longer than a driveway.
-
Sorting
A mixed pile takes longer to separate than a clean one.
-
E-waste
Separated and taken to a licensed recycler, not the tip.
-
Hazardous items
We cannot take them, and we will tell you who can.
The right truck for the pile
Small tipper
A garage, a few rooms or a single mattress run. Fits a narrow street.
Large tipper
Full house clear-outs and office defits in one load.
Sorting on board
Metal, timber, cardboard and e-waste kept apart as we load.
Trolleys and straps
For getting a fridge down a staircase without taking the wall with it.
Four steps and it is gone
-
01 Step
Send a photo
A picture of the pile beats a description every time. Price back within two hours.
-
02 Step
We confirm on site
The crew check the load before touching it. If it is smaller than quoted, so is the price.
-
03 Step
We load and sort
Out of the house, up from the yard, down from the roof cavity. Sorted as it goes on.
-
04 Step
Licensed disposal
Recyclers first, landfill last. Ask and we will send the disposal receipt.
Four things worth checking before you book anyone
-
Is the tip fee in the price?
Ours is. A quote without it is not a quote, it is a deposit.
-
Where does it actually go?
Licensed facilities, with a receipt on request. Ask anyone you hire.
-
Do they separate e-waste?
They have to in Victoria. Plenty do not. Ours comes off the truck apart.
-
Who does the lifting?
We do. You do not need to drag anything to the kerb first.
Rubbish removal near you, anywhere in Melbourne
Metro wide, seven days. Inner-city jobs need a smaller truck and sometimes a permit for the kerb. Outer corridor jobs get an earlier start because of the drive and the distance to the transfer station.
