Rubbish Removal in Sydney

Rubbish removal in Sydney is one of the few jobs where the cheapest quote can end up costing you the most. Dumped waste gets traced through what is in the pile, and the council notice arrives at your address, not the operator’s. We load from wherever it sits, sort it for recycling, tip it at licensed facilities and hand you the receipt. Same day when a truck is free.

Licensed disposal

Where your rubbish actually ends up

The cheapest quote in this trade is usually cheap for one reason. The operator is not paying tip fees. Licensed waste disposal in Sydney costs real money per tonne, so a price well under everyone else is either a loss or a load that never reaches a licensed facility.

That is your problem more than theirs. Illegally dumped waste gets traced through what is in it. An envelope, a delivery label, a piece of mail. Councils act on the name on the paperwork, and the fines are not small.

We use licensed transfer stations, we sort before disposal, and the disposal receipt is yours whenever you want it on file.

  • Sorted before it’s tipped

Metal, timber, cardboard, e-waste and mattresses are separated at the facility instead of going in as mixed landfill.

  • Usable things get donated

Furniture and appliances still in serviceable condition are offered to charity before anything is written off as waste.

  • Licensed facilities only

Every load goes to a permitted transfer station or recycler. No vacant blocks, no bushland, no someone else’s skip.

  • Receipt on request

Landlords, strata managers and businesses often need proof of lawful disposal. Ask and it comes through the same day.

Before you book

What we take, and what we can’t

Most things are fine. A short list needs a licensed specialist instead, and it is better to know that before the truck is in your driveway.

We’ll take

  • Lounges, chairs and bed bases
  • Mattresses and bedding
  • Wardrobes, desks and shelving
  • Fridges, freezers and washing machines
  • Televisions, computers and e-waste
  • General household junk and boxes
  • Garden waste, prunings and soil
  • Carpet and underlay
  • Scrap metal and old tools
  • Office furniture and workstations
  • Bikes, prams and sporting gear
  • Light renovation debris

If it is not on the list, ask. The answer is usually yes.

We can’t take

  • Asbestos or anything containing it
  • Paint, solvents and oils
  • Chemicals and pool chemicals
  • Gas bottles and fuel containers
  • Medical and clinical waste
  • Liquids of any kind
  • Ammunition and explosives
  • Large volumes of food waste

These need a licensed hazardous waste contractor, and your council runs free chemical and e-waste drop-off days for household quantities. Tyres, car batteries and some construction waste we can usually take, but tell us first so the disposal fee sits in the quote rather than arriving later.

Pricing

How much rubbish removal costs in Sydney

Rubbish removal in Sydney is priced by volume, meaning how much space your load takes up in the truck, with the tip fees already built in. Send a photo and we quote from it, so nobody has to guess in cubic metres.

Cheaper than a skip bin, most of the time

A skip costs you the hire, the council permit if it sits on the street, and the part where you carry everything out to it yourself. It charges for the whole bin whether you fill it or not, and it takes up the driveway for a week.

We charge for the space you actually use and do the lifting. A skip still wins on a long renovation where rubbish builds up over weeks. For a one-off clear-out it rarely does.

What affects your quote

  • Volume

How much of the truck your load fills. Part loads are priced as part loads.

  • What’s in it

Mattresses, fridges and e-waste carry higher disposal fees than general junk.

  • Access

Kerbside is quickest. Stairs, basements and long carries take longer.

  • Sorting

A pile already separated moves faster than one that is not.

  • Location

Distance from our Parramatta base and from the nearest licensed facility.

  • Urgency

Same-day slots depend on what is already booked for that truck.

Trucks & gear

The right truck for the pile

A load of soil, a lounge suite and a garage of boxes are three different jobs. The wrong vehicle means two trips, and you should not be paying for that.

Cage trucks

High-sided for bulky, light loads. Furniture, boxes and general household junk.

Tipper trucks

For soil, green waste, rubble and anything heavy that tips rather than lifts.

Trolleys & stair climbers

Appliance trolleys so a full fridge comes down the stairs instead of being dragged.

Floor protection

Gloves, boots and runners so nothing gets marked on the way out.

How it works

Four steps and it’s gone

  1. 01 Step

    Send a photo

Snap the pile on your phone. We quote from photos on almost every residential job.

  2. 02 Step

    Pick a window

Same day if a truck is free, otherwise next day. You need not be home for kerbside jobs.

  3. 03 Step

    We load it

Carried out from wherever it sits, upstairs or out the back, and swept up after.

  4. 04 Step

    Sorted and disposed

Recyclables separated, usable items donated, the rest tipped at a licensed facility.

  3. No cancellation fees

Date moved? Reschedule with 24 hours notice, no charge.

Payrolled staff, not day labour hired for the morning.

Coverage

Rubbish removal near you, anywhere in Sydney

Searching for rubbish removal near me usually means you want it gone today, not a quote next week. We run trucks out of Parramatta across every suburb in the Sydney metro, so there is normally one within reach on the day. Questions

Rubbish removal questions, answered

How much does rubbish removal cost in Sydney?
It is priced on volume, meaning the share of the truck your load fills, with tip fees already inside the number. A few items costs a fraction of a full truck. What is in the load matters too, because mattresses, fridges and e-waste carry higher disposal charges than general junk. Send a photo of the pile and your suburb and you get a price back within two hours, with no site visit.
Can you come today?
Often, yes. Same-day rubbish removal depends on whether a truck near you still has room in the run, so the earlier you call the better the odds. We book from 6am to 10pm seven days, which is why late-afternoon and evening pickups are usually possible when the morning is already full. If today is genuinely full we will say so rather than promise a window we cannot hold.
Do I need to carry it out to the kerb?
No, and that is the main difference between us and a skip. We collect from wherever the rubbish actually is. The back shed, the top floor, under the house, the balcony. Stairs and long carries do not add a charge, they just take a little longer, which is already in the quote.
Do I need to be home?
Not for a kerbside or driveway job. Point us at the pile by photo, confirm what is going and what is staying, and pay once it is loaded. For an inside clear-out someone needs to give access, though that can be an agent, a neighbour or a building manager rather than you.
Do you take mattresses, fridges and whitegoods?
Yes, all of them. Mattresses go to a mattress recycler where the springs, foam and fabric are separated. Fridges and freezers need degassing before disposal, and televisions and computers go to an e-waste recycler. These carry their own disposal fees, so tell us how many at quote time and the number you get is the number you pay.
What can’t you take?
Asbestos, paint, solvents, oils, chemicals, gas bottles, medical waste, liquids and explosives. Those need a licensed hazardous waste contractor, and most councils run free chemical and e-waste drop-off days for household quantities. Tyres, car batteries and some construction waste we usually can take, but mention them first so the fee sits in the quote.
Where does the rubbish actually go?
To licensed transfer stations and recyclers. The load is sorted so metal, timber, cardboard, e-waste and mattresses are pulled out instead of going in as mixed landfill, and anything still usable is offered to charity first. Ask for the disposal receipt and you get it, which is what landlords, strata managers and businesses generally need on file.
Why is one quote so much cheaper than the others?
Because tip fees are the biggest cost in this trade, and the easiest one to skip. An operator well under everyone else is usually not taking the load to a licensed facility. Illegally dumped waste gets traced through the paperwork inside it, and the council notice goes to the name on that paperwork. A cheap quote is not a saving if it ends in a fine.
Is this cheaper than hiring a skip bin?
For a one-off clear-out, usually. A skip charges for the whole bin whether you fill it or not, adds a council permit if it sits on the street, and leaves you to carry everything out yourself. We charge for the space used and do the carrying. A skip still wins on a long renovation where the pile grows over weeks.
Do you cover North Sydney and the lower North Shore?
Yes, and it is one of our busier areas. Most jobs there are apartments, which means a service lift booking, a dock window and often strata approval before anything can leave the building. Give us the building name when you book and we handle that side, because turning up without a lift booked wastes everybody’s morning.
Can you clear a whole house or a deceased estate?
Yes. A full property clear-out runs across a day or more with multiple truck loads, and it is worth walking through first so anything being kept, sold or given to family is set aside before we start. Estate work is done quietly and at your pace, with the same coordinator throughout so you are not re-explaining it to someone new.
Can you clear a rental before the final inspection?
Yes, and the order matters. The property has to be empty before it can be cleaned properly, so rubbish out first, then the end of lease clean. Booking both with us puts them on the same day in the right sequence, which is usually the difference between making the handover date and missing it.
Do you do commercial and office rubbish removal?
Yes. Defit clear-outs, old workstations, shelving, archive boxes and general commercial waste, scheduled after hours where the building requires it. Businesses and strata managers generally want the disposal receipt for their own records, so it comes as standard on commercial jobs rather than on request.
Do you remove asbestos?
No. Asbestos removal is licensed work in New South Wales and we are not the right people for it. If you think a sheet, fence or eave lining might contain it, stop and have it tested before anyone disturbs it. Once it is cleared by a licensed removalist we are happy to take the rest of the load.
Should I just wait for the council clean-up?
If you are not in a hurry and the items qualify, that is the cheapest option available and we will say so. The catches are the wait, the caps on how much you can put out, and the list of things councils will not take, which usually includes mattresses, whitegoods, e-waste and building material. If you are moving, settling or facing an inspection, the timing rarely lines up.
